In 2013, Vermont filmmaker Rick Moulton explored a century of U.S. skiing and winter sports in his documentary, Passion for Snow. With a particular focus on Dartmouth College’s impact on the sport, the documentary is rich with historic footage, and fascinating stories about the birth and growth of the sport in North America and abroad. From Dartmouth students on the slopes of Oak Hill, to the the Tenth Mountain Division in the Apennine Mountains, the documentary explores the global reach of skiers who learned the ropes on the slopes of the hills in and around Hanover, NH.
